'FOREVER MISSED' by Patta
& ORDER Collective

The contemporary Mobile Cinema movement in Ghana has been gaining attention from art enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. The movement started in the 1980s and is known for its unique art style, which features hand-painted movie posters that are used to promote mobile cinemas that travel throughout Ghana, setting up makeshift screening areas in villages with little or no electricity. The art style is unique, and the posters are considered a significant cultural artifact in Ghana.

ORDER Collective previously organized two exhibitions (Patty Morgan/Skatecafe) about the artists from Ghana who are known for the art style of the contemporary Mobile Cinema movement in Accra and beyond. The exhibitions featured over 100 hand-painted movie posters, created by a variety of talented artists from Ghana. The exhibitions provided a unique opportunity for art lovers to experience the art style and learn more about the cultural significance of the posters.

Together with Patta we hope to serve as a source of inspiration where perseverance, dedication to the culture and community are essential factors. We teamed up with Patta and Deadly Prey Gallery and created a limited edition poster and T-Shirt.
